Cherry Pie and Violence

In July, 1967, Black activist H. Rap Brown memorably said violence is as American as cherry pie. It was true 58 years ago. It’s true today. Estimates of the number of civilian guns in the U.S. is as high as 398 million. The population is about 340 million.
