‘White Boy Rick’ Film Fading at the Box Office

‘White Boy Rick’ will soon be on its way to Netflix and DVD. Box office returns for the film declined for the second week in a row.

Last weekend (September 28—30) the Columbia/Sony Pictures film dropped to ninth place from sixth place in the Top Ten among movie currently on the big screen.

So far, ‘White Boy Rick’ has grossed an estimated $21,714,781 against an estimated budget of $29 million. The film remains in some theaters and between those box office receipts and Netflix rentals, DVD sales and international receipts, the movie will probably break even.

‘White Boy Rick’ is allegedly “based on a true story.” As my review noted, the film is full of factual errors and untruths. Anyone interested in the true story should read my book, available for purchase through this website.
