The Iranians intend to string Donald Trump along until political pressure forces him to surrender even more. Patience is a potent weapon for Iran.
History: In 1979 the U.S. gave asylum to the hated Shah of Iran. Iranian militants took people in the U.S. embassy hostage and held them for 444 days. President Jimmy Carter lost his presidency. Today, the hostage is the Strait of Hormuz. Iran is patient. Trump is not.
